Lucia Brhlikova is a Research Intern at The Arctic Institute. She is a contributing writer to the Institute’s flagship weekly publication, The Arctic This Week (TATW). Her contributions include the Health, Youth, Society, and Culture sections of the newsletter. Lucia is a recent graduate in Master in European Studies with the Arctic studies specialization at Aalborg University. She pursued her Bachelor degree in European studies at Masaryk University and spent one semester as an Erasmus student at University of Bergen.
Lucia worked in the Greenlandic House in Aarhus, where she was responsible for organizing an academic debate about the overlooked business potential of Greenland. Additionally, she used this opportunity to closely study Danish – Greenlandic perceptions and wrote a semester project about what are these stereotypical perceptions and how is the Greenlandic House, together with young Greenlanders, trying to change them. Lucia wrote her Master thesis about the use of traditional and local knowledge in the Arctic Council and among the Arctic states.
