Maeve Drury is a Research Intern with The Arctic Institute, contributing to the Editorial Team. Her research within the region broadly investigates climate change, great power competition, and maritime strategy.
She was most recently a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. intern for the Transatlantic Security Program at the Center for New American Security (CNAS), where she contributed to publications in-house, as well as co-authoring pieces at the Atlantic Council and Inklstick. Prior to CNAS, Maeve worked under a contract with NASA, providing project support for engineers working on revolutionary scientific instruments.
Maeve holds an MA and BA in international relations from the University of San Diego, with a minor in French and Francophone studies. Her master’s thesis investigated China’s polar strategy and growing presence within the Arctic. She is a dual citizen of the United States and Ireland, having lived and worked in both countries.
